Building Blocks is a division of
The Center for Pediatric Therapies
offering
private day-school services for children with Autism Spectrum
Disorders ages 3-5. The Building Blocks curriculum is designed based on
each childs Individualized Education Plan (IEP) using a variety of
methodologies including but not limited to Applied Behavioral Analysis,
PECS, Therapeutic Listening, and Sensory Integration. The priority of
education at Building Blocks is to teach students how to correctly
discriminate among different stimuli, how to follow expressed requests,
to assist in the development of expressive language skills, to move
students toward
meaningful social interaction, to facilitate continued educational
experiences in other environments, and to provide an atmosphere of
fun and success. After school center-based and home program
sessions utilizing Building Blocks methodologies are available by
appointment.
